1880s:

The Roundhay Garden scene!
For those who don’t know what this is, it was the first ‘movie’ to ever be recorded. It was recorded in 1888 by a man named Louis Le Prince. It shows his family, walking around in circles, laughing for a little over two seconds.
The strangest part? Everyone filmed here, either disappeared or died in mysterious ways after it was shot.
One of my favorite little bits of history, that you’ll never find in a history book!
